New Years Day Recovery Done Right

Have a big one? Why not start your year off right with our favourite health drink... a Bloody Mary.

She's a long time favourite and we think that a new year and a bit of a sore head might coax her out of hiding. Here's a foolproof way of whipping one up that doesn't even require a shaker!

If making it yourself seems all a little too hard on a day like today (ie: the hang over is real), find a licensed cafe to whip one up for you. We've discovered some delish Bloody Mary's at The Glass Cafe in Mittagong and The Grand Bistro in Bowral.

ENJOY!

Ingredients —

Ice

45ml vodka

20ml lemon juice

Dash of Tabasco sauce

5-10ml Worcestershire sauce

Salt

Tomato juice

Stick of celery

Slice of lemon

Pepper (to taste)

Method —

Build the drink in a tall, ice-filled glass with vodka, lemon juice, Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce and salt. Top with tomato juice. Stir. Garnish with a stick of celery, a slice of lemon and some ground pepper on top.

Serving suggestion... Pop some prosciutto in the pan for a minute to sizzle it up, and crack and sprinkle over the top of your drink to serve.  Popping some salty, meaty goodness into a Bloody Mary is the best idea ever.

While we're at it, get out the speakers and get our New Years Day recovery playlist on. We've got bangers, we've got smooth tunes and some of the best songs of 2018 to look back on too!
