Markets In The Southern Highlands
We love supporting small businesses here at The Fold, and one of the easiest ways to do that is to shop at your local markets. We are lucky enough to have an abundance of those right here in The Highlands. So to make it easier for you to shop and support local as much as you can, we’ve popped all our fab Southern Highlands market details here into one spot!
1st Saturday – Exeter, 9.00am – 1.30pm, Exeter Park, 10 Exeter Road, Exeter.
Busy and bustling Exeter Village Markets has a delightful mix of handmade goods and treats, homewares, fashion and fresh produce. Add in a bit of bric-a-brac with a beautiful village backdrop and you have the quintessential country market experience.
1st Saturday – Colo Vale, 9.00am – 2.00pm, 28 Railway Avenue, Colo Vale
Lots of yummy fresh fruit and veggies with kids entertainment to keep little ones busy, Colo Vale is a bargain hunter's paradise with bric-a-brac and quaint stalls of treasures waiting to be claimed.
1st Sunday – Bundanoon, 8.30am – 2.00pm, Soldiers Memorial Hall, 3 Railway Parade, Bundanoon
Held in the local hall, Bundanoon Makers Market celebrates the skills of these talented creative stallholders. From soap to scarves, clothes to cakes, and a special kids market for young entrepreneurs on specific dates, there is something for everyone here.
2nd Saturday – Bowral PS, 8.00am – 1.00pm, Bowral Public School, Bendooley Street, Bowral
One of the busiest in The Highlands, Bowral Public School Markets has a range of clothes, toys, plants, sculptures and handmade goodies to keep the keenest of shoppers on their retail toes. With lots of food on offer too, you can fill up your belly with gozleme or dumplings, or kick back with a croissant and delicious coffee in the sun.
2nd Sunday – Robertson, 8.30am – 2.00pm, School of Arts Hall 55 Hoddle Street, Robertson
Treasure hunters and bargain hunters will be in their element at Robertson Markets. From bric-a-brac through to homemade baked goods, Robertson offers up a quaint market experience in a country environment.
3rd Saturday – Mittagong, 8.00am – 2.00pm, Uniting Church, Cnr Alice and Albert Streets, Mittagong
A favourite with local green thumbs, Mittagong Markets has a huge range of plants, garden art and outdoor sculptures available. Also great for gift shopping, there is plenty of delicious home baked treats to tantalise tastebuds too.
3rd Sunday – Bundanoon, 8.30am – 2.00pm, Soldiers Memorial Hall, 3 Railway Parade, Bundanoon
4th Saturday – Moss Vale, 9.00am – 2.00pm, Moss Vale Showground, Illawarra Highway, Moss Vale.
The Southern Highlands’ answer to Antiques Roadshow, Moss Vale Markets is a treasure hunter’s dream. Wander amongst the gorgeous, vintage collectibles on offer, grab a sneaky doughnut from the food van and keep an eye out for the miniature train rides!
4th Sunday – Berrima, 9.00am – 2.00pm, Berrima Public School, Oxley Street, Berrima.
A busy market with a buzzy vibe, Berrima has lots to keep all ages occupied. Kids entertainment, live music and delicious food options provide the perfect backdrop for a large range of stalls, produce, goodies and gifts.
5th Saturday (if there is one) – Mittagong, 8.00am – 2.00pm, Uniting Church, Cnr Alice and Albert Streets, Mittagong.
Every Thursday - Railway Street Farmers Market - 3.00pm - 6.00pm, Railway Street, Moss Vale. Note: Please check their Facebook page as times may vary.
Visit our region's farmers market to shop the freshest local produce. Grab yourself a coffee and snack and wander the stalls, chatting to the growers and shopping the range of fruit, vegetables, meat, seafood and baked goods.
Bargo Hotel Markets
Bargo Hotel runs market days every few months. Their next one is on Sunday 24 February. With over 50 stalls selling an assortment of fresh food, bric-a-brac and handmade goods, in thr grounds of the Bargo Hotel, this is a fun few hours out for the family. Click here for more info.
