Colouring isn't just for the little kids. It's for us big ones, too. There's a reason adult colouring books are now a thing. Colouring in helps busy adults take some much-needed time out, it helps to reduce stress and anxiety and is a form of mindfulness. And right now? We could all use a bit of that. So, tap into that creativity, get the juices flowing, sharpen those pencils, sit back, relax and enjoy.
Inspired by the flora and fauna surrounding her Bundanoon home, Virginia Boyle creates small, intricate forest scenes, animals, birds, and anthropomorphic creatures. Her work is decorative, highly detailed, with obsessive patterning (it can take her up to three months to complete just one drawing).
Virginia has kindly provided one of her detailed drawings for us to enjoy colouring. Click here to download your own copy to colour.
Southern Highlands designer, artist and photographer Zoe Binder's botanical illustrations have a simple and feminine aesthetic. She draws inspiration from her connection to the natural world, which has been an important part of her practice since growing up on the edge of the Morton National Park.
Zoe has generously designed a beautiful graphic for us to relax with. Click here to download your own copy to colour.
