Spud Lane Studios is the working artists studio of Ric Abel and Cat Doyle.
Whether it’s the perils of Mr Squiggle or the plight of the Pink Cyberman, artist Ric Abel travels through landscapes, skulls, and quasi-cubist portraits. His art is introspective and exploratory, humorous and dark. His journey encompasses a broad range of genres from the internal to the external.
Cat Doyle is a web developer who spent many years working on high profile websites such as Coca Cola, Nestle, Landcom and Arnott's. When she's not coding, Cat pulls together the studios’ diverse offerings of fine art workshops and masterclasses, caffeine & canvas painting group, life drawing, and studio exhibitions.
Spud Lane Studios is open every Friday - Sunday 10am - 4pm and Monday 11am-2pm.
More than 50 artworks by Ric Abel are on display in a survey show. Most works are for sale. Ask for a catalogue when you visit.
We're located at the back of The SHAC, which is next to the big potato right in the heart of Robertson. Enter via the front studios and see all the other amazing SHAC artists and artisans while you are here!
